May 19, 2020 --
The City of Burlington announced today that all city parks will remain closed to
organized team sports activities until September 7, 2020.
The safety and well-being of our players and their families, our coaches, trainers, and our umpires
continue to be BOMBA’s top priority. As a result, the decision has been made to cancel the 2020
BOMBA summer House League baseball season.
As we move forward with refunding registered House League participants, we ask for your patience as
this process will take a few weeks to complete.
BOMBA is a not for profit organization and as such has not qualified for any of the existing Government
subsidies. Our volunteers have worked diligently to reduce expenditures however BOMBA has fixed
costs that remain owing by the organization, regardless of the current situation. Recognizing that
these are difficult times for everyone, we would ask you to please consider helping the organization to
remain able to provide quality youth baseball programs in the future by donating a portion of your
child’s registration fee to the organization to sustain us through this unprecedented time.
Your child’s division Convenor will be in touch with you before the end of this week with the next steps in
the process.
Stay safe and we hope to see your children back on the diamonds as soon as it’s safe to resume
organized baseball activities.
