2027 High Performance Head Coach application


BOMBA is looking for High Performance/EBLO Head Coaches for the 2027 season (12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U).

We are seeking experienced, driven, and highly committed coaches to lead our High Performance teams.

We are looking for leaders who bring strong baseball knowledge, proven coaching experience, and the ability to build disciplined, team-first cultures, and who are excited to lead within a structured, development-focused environment.

Applications will be received until May 16th and decisions announced June 1st.

Our teams

Bulls 12U and 13U High-Performance teams play from early May to Labour Day weekend in the Central Ontario Baseball Association (COBA) Tier 1 loop. 

Bulls 14U to 18U High Performance teams play from early May to Labour Day weekend in the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) loop.

These teams benefit from an enhanced development model, including off-season training, a fall ball schedule, participation in a U.S. tournament, and trainer-led strength and conditioning.

Selection Process

  • All applications are reviewed confidentially by the Rep Committee.
  • Selected candidates will be invited to a formal interview.
  • Final decisions will be communicated shortly after the interview process concludes.
  • Note: Assistant Coach positions will be appointed following the selection of Head Coaches  and are not open for application at this time.

Performance & Time Commitment

  • Full availability for player evaluations/tryouts (schedule to be confirmed) is required.
  • Commitment to a structured indoor training program from October 2026 through late April 2027 is expected.
  • Coaches should be prepared to plan, lead, and execute high-quality training sessions aligned with competitive team standards.

Mandatory Requirements

  • A valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check (issued within the past two years) must be submitted by January 1, 2027.
  • Coaches must obtain and maintain certification through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), as required by Baseball Ontario.

Standards & Accountability

  • Head Coaches are expected to set the standard for excellence, professionalism, and competitive integrity while representing Burlington.
  • This includes full accountability for team culture, athlete development, and the conduct of players, staff, and families.
  • Coaching appointments are performance-based and subject to ongoing review. In serious cases, decisions regarding removal may be made by the Board and/or Executive.
